If ever a reincarnation,
I am…
At least a shadow
Shadowed by his satyr.
A resemblance
Not in looks
But in appearance
His face, his hair
His sorrow…
The spiraling clouds
Intertwining lives
And pain
And understanding.
Observing others
Knowing
A Scimitar absorbing
Obsessed
Bloodied by what if felt
Knowing all too well what is felt.
Deciphering the cryptic scenes
Pictures upon a crumbling limestone wall
Wondering…
Sometimes knowing
What will become of it all.
Sinking in the dungeon
Through the slimy cracks
Struggling for a rising
From insipid facts.
I am…
At least a shadow
Chained me to my side
Shadowed by our satyr
Our resemblances
As though it never dies.
