Where the sea meets the sky
This is the place
Where I choose to die

When my spirit has left
Build me a pyre
Cast it out to sea
And set it on fire

I’ll challenge the sunset
In all its glory
And blaze like a star
With unearthly fury

The trumpets will sound
And fill the night air
The breeze will carry me
To the place where I stare

It's good to see you writing again. To pass in the manner of a viking I see. Cast to sea on a pyre and set afire. I always thought it a much more fitting end than other methods. There is something romantic about it. Something more dignified as well. I hope to see you writing again soon. Take care , Doug

I really like this. I love the subject it addresses, the imagery, and the flow. You did very well here.

Thanks,

Tim

yes this is certainly the way to die. similar to the hindu funeral ceremony i think, which would be my choice of funeral if i could have my own way. even though i'm not hindu the ritual is beautiful. and you've described something similar here, very good.
