begging for rain to cleanse the wounds.
Talked under the stars at night,
and sang in the dark to the moon.

Searching the journey, wandering souls at heart.
Once in awhile we folded the deck.
Truth or chance, never anything in between
making the mend or bending the match.

A dance in the rain, or a hug to mend the heart.
Lost to the world then found again.
Some day’s the searchers other days calm wondering
the lust doesn’t leave untamed spirits alone.

Our footprints kept in the sands of the desert.
Our pathways clearly worn and dusted with brush.
Then once in awhile off in the distance,
the song of the guitar dancing in desert rims.

It seems like you and Lane go back a long way. I have seen my fair share of the desert...sometimes I wish that I could go back to the different shades of brown and leave green behind for a little while. Good firends are hard to come by in this life that is so short. But you definitely have a masterpiece here.
