[hometext] => The title of this one stands for all those little words that starts with "L" and describe the general state of the world i live in, lost, lonely, loving, etc. As a whole though, this song was written as a lamentation for the times when life was so much simpler and so much more innocent. Also, the phrase "copper scars" in the song refers to the way a city looks as you fly over it in an airplane at nighttime. All the land right around the city looks pure and pristine, and then there is a big copper-colored scar right there in the middle of it all.
[bodytext] => The sky went dark
for the first time in years today when the planes flew off. The newsman says it should go away, but the planes didn't come back home. The children suck their lollipops and skip on off to school. Their momies do their shopping, no fresh water in the stores. The machines must die we've gone too far and the end is far from here. But tragedy is on its way as darkness creeping near. The sky lets loose a cloud of ash as if the ground had died, while mommies do their shopping no fresh water anymore. The smog and ash ruin the fish and fill the corpse-dump sea. And Gaea mourns the death of life and cries from copper scars. The planes are gone and won't return the city may be doomed. The plains are gone and empty just like mother nature's womb. The eagles shed their feathers and don't look quite so up high. The looters do their shopping no fresh water for the whores. One last time before we die. Get in the sack. Let's go. The flag was burned for nothing only thirty years ago.
