I see the unlonely
Sheltered from the rain
I see the lonely seek
The unloneliness
I see the rain with warm lights
Give reflection upon the pavement…
Multi-colored footprints
Flow together
Some apart
And the humidity whets the appetite
While raindrop islands
Gather to conspire
Against the long hot dry.

Headlights come
Taillights leave
And some…
They follow
Not letting go the wind that fills the sail
With a sweet warm caress
And curling sorrow.

The children play unaware
The rain that whets their hair
Muddies their cloths
While they dance and dance
Round and round broad sweeping circles.

She dances once again
Lonely seeking unloneliness
Arms outstretched begs of youth
To taste the rain free from tears
Yet no longer unaware
Of the rain that whets her hair. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 168 [topic] => 48 [informant] => wheels [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
