that dances on the roof,
a sound not like any,
but a sound that everyone knows,,

we try to catch the raindrops ,
we let it run down our faces instead,
wisked away in this rain,
we wish it wouldn't stop,

how i love the rain,
when it falls down on my face,
as much as it rains on the roof,
feels soon comforting,
as much as the sound it brings,,

everyones quiet, as they listen,
to the sound of raindrops,
a small breeze which helps the rain,
but feels great as the wind caresses our face,

nite time falls as we listen to the raindrops,
sleepy our eye's get as the rain and wind caresses us,
the wetness we forget, but the sound we remember,
as we fall asleep in the raindrops hour,
hopeing to feel this again soon,,,,

Soothing and beautiful write Craig.
I have so enjoyed the sound of rain since I moved out here. I did not realize I had missed it so much all those years in the damn desert.

You captured a song of nature here my friend.

Hugs
Michelle

Rain is nature's lullaby and you seemed to capture that essence
here. I have to tell you I ADORED this line ..

"as we fall asleep in the raindrops hour"

My goodness ... how utterly poetic! Beautiful, peaceful
emotions flood that line, but your entire write engulfs the
soul with the most lovely calm.

Great job, I feel I am sharing the sound of the raindrops with you, wonderful and beautiful. What a clean air!

I like this very much.

It made me think about, when I was a kid, how we would sometimes run around in a heavy downpour...

And then I thought...the next time it rains again...I'm going to do it again

Thanks much...

~Stephan
