That way Joe Bear can talk anytime he wants...He was special, a hellion, but very, very special...lol [bodytext] => Dearest Little-Big Brother,

I haven’t forgotten ~ Or left you behind,
I’ve had things to say ~ Words to find,
I left so quickly ~ I didn’t know,
I feel the pain ~ That you don’t show,
I watch my kids cry as they dream,
And I know ~ They’re crying for me,
I know what they need ~ And I can’t do,
So big brother ~ It falls to you,
We made a deal ~ You and I,
Instead of three kids ~ You now have five,
Hold my babies ~ Like they’re yours,
Do this for him ~ And do this for her,
Of course ~ You know ~ I’d do the same,
If Our Lord ~ Had called your name,
Loving your kids ~ Came easy you see,
I understood ~ That they were you and me,
All the dumb stunts ~ Mouthy ness too,
Yeah, big brother ~ They’re me and you,
I’m so sorry ~ That I can’t be,
There now ~ When you need me,
You have the best help money can buy,
Mom raised us ~ And we survived,
I don’t know the future ~ Only today,
And I know ~ That you won’t walk away,
I know you feel lost ~ I know you cry,
I know you wonder ~ Why I had to die,
I know your world is heavy and dark,
And I know ~ You have a broken heart,
No one asked me ~ If I wanted to leave,
Yes, it hurts ~ To watch you grieve,
Yes, I know all about mom,
Count your blessings ~ Each new dawn,
You’re doing good ~ By mom and the kids,
Tell them you love them ~ Don’t keep it hid,
Make sure your three always know,
That they were loved by Uncle Joe,
I always played so rough and tough,
Don’t blow my cover ~ Or expose my bluff,
Back to us brothers ~ You and me,
Brothers and friends ~ Like it should be,
Death does change ~ The family scene,
Both worlds separate ~ Not much in between,
So remember our secrets ~ Our signals too,
You’ll always know ~ When I’m talking to you,
Brothers yesterday ~ Brothers today,
Brothers tomorrow ~ Brothers always,
Don’t push me back ~ Or fear to speak,
Laughter is strength ~ Silence is weak,
Keep me near ~ So my kids will know,
That they too ~ Have part of my soul,
It’s time now ~ I’ve had my say,
Take care of our family ~ Remember to pray,
I can’t say goodbye ~ I can’t let you go.
I love you big brother ~ More than you know.

~~~
I am so glad you decided to do this... I think it is great what you are doing. I am sorry I didn't get back to you before. This was beautiful and so touching...
I felt a lump in my throat while reading this.
I felt such a mixture of emotion reading this.
I simply do not know how to do it justice.
Beautiful poem here.
