[bodytext] => My life is a constant struggle, To stay above the surface, While hostile ocean waves, Are lapping at my throat, As they wish were sharper, Kitchen knives and daggers, Tearing through my neck, To cut my life apart. Every second is a year, In which they fill my lungs with age, And wash the salty tears, Back from whence they came. The hope gets knocked out of the back of my head, Where it sinks in the water, Down past my feet, Which will never taste fresh air.
