That horrible and absolutely amazing dream.
I was doing so good—
I was getting over you.
…Until that dream.
I saw the guy I wanted you to be,
The way every girl would appreciate.
You texted me,
Said you loved me.
You invited me to your house;
I said I’d ask.
I felt my heart expand,
And start to beat again.
It was the best thing in the world, that feeling.
And then I woke up.
I was thrown back into reality,
Where you aren’t like that,
Where I am slowly killing myself,
Where I wait on you to change your mind.
That stupid dream.
Now I have to start all over again.
I have to reprogram my head,
Realize that you are not that guy in my dream.
No, you’re much worse.
Yet I still love you.
That stupid dream.
That terrible and perfect dream.

The dreams seem to be hurting so many lately. I hope you find the will power to either not have the dream or to replace him in the dream with someone else. Wishing you the best.

I can definitely relate to this poem. I know how it feels to you think you're moving forward and then something will happen to make you go backwards. Great work!!!

I liked the style of this write. Nicely done. I also wish for you sweet dreams that take you floating on angel wings for a beautiful show of the stardust and galaxies.
