I was consumed with loneliness, guilt and so much more
As I wept , my tears they fell
Had I condemned my soul to hell ?
They said it was cancer, nothing could be done
I had no one to talk to, so I called upon your son
When I was younger, years ago
You always soothed my troubled soul
I know you did'nt leave me, I walked out on you
Being a rebellious child. I did what children do
I lived my life without you.and I made it such a mess
Almost out of options, I'm giving up in jest
Father please forgive me, for I know not what I do
But this sinner child inside of me, is crying out to you
And as I sat there quietly, I softly heard you say
My dear sweet child, I love you and I knew that you would stray
So I gave you lots of angels and everyday they prayed
Please forgive your child, for she has lost her way
Every day your angels prayed that you would make it back
They prayed so very faithfully, they never gave to slack
Then, I heard you say that I was forgiven
That is why you had died and why you had risen
I thanked you for forgiving me, as I called out your name
It was that rebellious child inside of me, that only heaven could tame
Reunited with my Christ , I am born again
Thank you dear sweet Jesus, my savior and my friend [comments] => 3 [counter] => 553 [topic] => 62 [informant] => ZAKRAM1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => spiritual )

A soft and subtle poem with a lovely ending.... it is always better to realize one's mistakes and admit them.... confession truly relieves a lot!
