My trustworthy, faithful friend,
Goodbye, my dog, my jovial partner,
In my life you have been a god send.

Goodbye, my human, my wonderful mate
My proud, brave, loving leader,
Goodbye, my human, my friend for life
You have been my master and walker and feeder.

Goodbye is all I can say my friend
One word that means so many things,
Thank you for bringing joy to my life
You gave all you could possibly give.

Goodbye is my final word to you Master
I say this word to you without regret
You have given me your goodbyes
I am so glad in my life that we met.

Goodbye! Goodbye, true friend
We did so many things, you and I,
My last word to you signifies my love,
So I say to you, boy, oh Goodbye.

In memory of Joss
Who i never got to say goodbye to.

As a dog-owner myself, I have to say that I am truly touched by this.
I, too, never got to say goodbye to Buffy, the last dog I had (before the one I have now).
Dogs are, usually, great companions. They feel your pain, your happiness, your sorrow, and your love for them.
I think that dogs know the meaning of life better than humans do; that is why they always look happy.
Great poem, Collie! Keep it up!
