As beautiful as you feel now
later in life you will just be yourself.
Where once white buds in waiting
carried vibrating waves of follicle eggs
time and age may give rise to childbirth
and past distances will fall into empty places.

Honor the pace sister-mother,
bear the strong meat of simple truth,
you uphold this world with your choices.
heritage of our species is in your root.

When you walk six paces behind
the man whose loins you entwine
remember to notice the weeds and plants at your feet
they will help heal and guide the one you choose to seed,
from the one they will call 'father.'

Displace your mind during physical effort
let your inner primate take the wheel
its okay as chimps drive up and down the freeway all day.
The ancient wisdom of your flesh acts clearly
dwell not on doctors, technology and
or let yourself be distracted,
nothing is needed in birth-giving
ward against the seduction of tests and procedures.

As we lived without mirrors for most of history
to obsess about your bodies being anything less
than magnificent or do math about dilations,
worry about your labor or speculate how long and painful,
try to feel your fauna,
get into positions that feels best for your being,
spend time with a spiritual midwifes understanding,
annoit your love to help you crown during orgasm,
heaven has found means to craft your joys as handmade.

Right On! Though the knowledge of professionals & experts is something to be respected as a resorce, when they become such an intimidation factor that women doubt themselves & are made afraid of the gift they are born with...well, I hate to use, "Right&Wrong", but...it's hard to call this anything but tragic...if not necessarily"Wrong".

Wow! You really got my juices against this injustice to women going. Grrrrrr...

Beauteous Subject!!! I Loved this!!!

& I'd like to add my own advice to expectant mothers...

RESPECT NO AUTHORITY WITH GREATER ESTEEM THAN SELF!!!
that's not to say don't utilize the wisdom of others, but trust your own voice & gift in the end.

Wow! You already said all that, huh?
teehee. Well, that's okay, it's a message well worth the reiteration.

Welcome back dear friend...
Your writing as always surrounds me like a taunt of the inner wisdoms to grow into.
(It all seemed much easier when birthing was just a squat in the grasses.)
