Array ( [sid] => 14162 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Floodlights [time] => 2003-03-12 17:00:00 [hometext] => A rap about addiction, deception, and the American concept of freedom. I wrote this a good whie ago and just came across it again tonight looking through some things. I hope you like it. [bodytext] => Nicotine, magazines, magazines, beauty queens, ruptured spleens, shiny things, any means, collard greens, kidney beans, horny teens, wet dreams, muffled screams, silver screens, Champaign streams, shiny things.

Worship me, witness the arsenic tree falling free onto the frozen sea.

Witness the frozen seas suffering, suffer, bring, suffer me, suffer the, suffer tree, suffering supper we worship the deity.

Freeth me great glory up with the adult tree suffering deity close your eyes, bleed on me.

Worship me carefully suffering deity under the frozen sea carefully, carefully, suffering deity.

Witness the suffering, huffering buffering fluffering muffling covering smothering bothering not longing for the world we don’t yet know exists.

Worry me, hurry me, suffering deity, carefully bringing me closer to frozen seas.

Murder me herder we have to see through the sheep into the bony meek while they are fast asleep.

Look through the arsenic tree carefully and you’ll see arsenicky arsenic see stripped of the fallacy hopeful, we witness the death of the arsenic tree.

Tunneling, shunneling, underling underwing wondering where are we, who are we, what are we, how?

How is he, can it be, run to me, come to me, come and see suffering, come and see frozen seas, suffering deity, crystal dreams crystal seems crystal brings suffering wondering fondling crystal beams, crystal means, crystal seems so very important here.

Witness the suffering, scenery suffering. Innocents suffering, witness the sea.

Suppertime suffering, tunneling, tunneling, wondering where are we who are we now?

Tunneling, sunny beam, time to sing, so it seems, we are free tunneling, finally free.

Tunneling, tunneling, tunneling, tunneling, finally, we are free follow me carefully, falling, we falling, we’re falling into the sea.

Frozen sea, follow me, here is the frozen sea.

Cessation carries me into the frozen sea.

This is where we can’t go forwards and we can’t go backwards. We can all sit and wait and thaw and complain. Sit and sit and sit, my love. It’s all we have to do. Then, when the ice melts, we’ll be freed from our frozen sea. But in the meantime, we’ll sit and stare at each other, and all I have to say is “I told you so.” [comments] => 2 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Butterat_Zool [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
