She possesses an immense intensity,
and it is from this intensity that I feed.
Like the moth that speeds from the darkness to a flame,
compelled by a force innate within its soul.
Surely to sustain injury, or possibly even death,
choice is not an option.

It is of this form of passion,
that I too may suffer demise.
For the drive is not controlled,
in as much as it is controlling.
It is inherent within me.
I am all but helpless.

Gone from beyond her bounds,
her soul and her spirit have enveloped me.
I exuviate my armor to welcome the intrusion.
She overpowers my will,
and I sense that presence within my own.
Still, I am at peace.

This wave becomes more and more severe,
swelling before the release of its’ devastating power.
Ardently I ride the crest.
But veiled in the spray and mist,
the impending shoreline looms.
And this will end like all before.

Our eyes may close,
but the sleep holds no comfort.
For this force is omnipresent.
With the resolve of an addict,
I too must continue.
Not to resist, but to persist, to prevail.

And with this passion,
we pray for Gods’ mercy.
