To thee my lass, dwell afar across mighty seas,
I set to bake a cake of love; intended to remit it
through the drifting puffy clouds; ingredients
chosen form my pounding heart.

Bowl filled with flour of passion, few cups
of pure sugar of compassion, to blend well
append a few fresh eggs of inner yearning;
dripped a drop of fragrance of lust.

Popped in the blend into the oven of trust,
turned on the warmth of faith, and set
timer of harmony to the leave that must,
held on my breath, for time to ripe.

Lo! To thee I baked a cake of love topping it with
cream of sharing and nuts and fruits of support.

Franco, I love the metaphor you've used. It seems you have all the
necessary ingredients to build a delicate and most delicious
sweetness. And the frosting? Two hearts that beat and swoon in
time with the other. Damn. This is so romantic, my friend. You
have such a unique way with words.

There is a magic and a comfort in this piece that makes the reader
want to fall asleep in its very essence. Beautiful, writing, Franco.

^_^
