Times long past
Long hot summers
Imagination so vast
Games of delight
Cats and dogs
The odd fight
Smell of blossom
Taste of plums
Lamingtons
Sad teen years
My dad’s death
Lots of tears
My mum’s strength
Childhood gone
My first kiss
She was blonde
Can’t go back
Yet I find
Always can
In my mind

Memories are always there, this is what shapes our lives sometimes. Good write, I understand it so very well. Sue x

The memories of things past is what makes us who we are... its funny the little, sometimes insignificant things we seem to recall. Lovely write.

This was completely nostalgic. I found myself running through many
of my own memories at the insistence of your words.
'Tis true we cannot go back, but sometimes running through the
thought in your mind is sweeter than the actual moment, you know?

Enjoyable write. :)

I like the style - it works well here.

Memories, both bitter and sweet...all stepping stones to beyond.

Good write.
