I've been anticipating your expectancy
I've just been boasting with joy
I even brought you some baby toys
I've decorated your room with precious moments
I even made you a photo album with your little pictures on it
even though you may not be able to tell it's you
the doctor has kindly labeled your hands and feet and your little face too.
Your heartbeat is strong and that makes me smile
you even kick me a little to much once in a while
you're growing I can tell
because my stomach each month continues to swell
I've been singing to you can you hear me
I've also been rubbing my nice round belly
I would love to see you and hear you cry
count your fingers and toes and look into your eyes
you have two brothers and a sister so your not alone
I'm sure you"ll fit right in tearing up my home
It's not your fault little you are too precious to cause any harm
but the doctor's have sounded the alarm
be sure to check out all my videos and pictures I've prepared for you
just in case I don't get to show them to you
Okay my child, know that I'm watching over you
For time may run out for me but thank god it will just be beginning for you........ Technically ok.

But a very beautiful sentiment. Facing ones own mortality must surely be confusing when interspersed with maternal duty. Life. Death. Rebirth, here we see the circle is complete. Thank you

I don't really get it. Are you predicting your own death? This poem seems kind of morbid, only because there is a newborn involved and you brought death into it. But thats just me.
