Alana
Beautiful Alana
Sad feelings
A world of hurt

All the things I want to say
Words they don't come
Alana
You're precious
We won't see you; forever and a day

We cried
Hearts broken
Your Mother's
G-grandma's and mine
Your mother really tried

G-grandma and I fostered children
We worked with parents
To get their children back
To that day we looked forward
Then they would have love and peace again

It wasn't that way with your mother
They never gave her a chance
We blame her case worker
This jerk named Joe
Always he worked against her

One day your Mother will explain
She expects you will seek her out
Heartbroken
She looks to that day
Alana her heart is filled with pain

They were going to terminate her right
Take you away
Believe me how hard she tried
The State stacked things up against her
Your Mother tried; with all her might

They promised "You can see her"
Most anytime you want
Until Alana is an adult
Oh ! we will love this child
Just sign here

Alana "precious"
We fear
G-grandma and I
We shall never see you again
Parted until our death

Understand
Your Mother's heart is broken
She loves you ever so much
As we do
This joe guy isn't much of a man

Anger love and pain
We feel it all
Alana Precious Alana
Until heaven,but hell's between
Then we shall see You again

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
