A son,daughter and wife
He has all he ever wanted
In his perfect little life
He has normalcy he never knew
And is grateful as he prays
He wonders where the luck came from
And when it will go away
Everyday the same routine
As the kids get on the bus
He kisses wifey on the cheek
Just like he always does
She wishes him a good day
And walks him to the door
He hops in his car to go to work
But makes a quick detour
He pulls into the driveway
Of a house he doesn't own
Leaves everything inside his car
His watch,wallet,and phone
Tucks his wedding band in his pocket
As he searches for his keys
Then he opens up the door
And climbs up the stairs with ease
He walks into a bedroom
Decorated pink and red
Then he sees his little daughter
Tucked in tightly in her bed
So he kisses her and shuts the door
And makes his way down through the hall
His mistress surley follows him
To ask why he hasn't called
He tells her what she wants to hear
Not even sure she cares
Not even sure she realizes
They've been having an affair
She doesn't know he's married
With a wife and other kids
She doesn't know her daughter
Has a brother and a sis
And she will probably never know
Cuz he would never tell
Just acting like its all okay
He keeps it to himself
His perfect little life
Was only perfect from outside
And he got everything he wanted
But only cuz he cheats and lies

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
