[hometext] => I went to caucus and what happened next I didn't expect...
[bodytext] => I still can't breath and it's been four hours since we departed Is it possible? Did I dream this whole thing? My head is spinning and my heart's still racing I think I'm having a heart attack An innocent meeting, one purpose was clear in my head Gather the opposition and convince then to join our side The youngest voter in the place, I immediatly jumped in There I saw them: three cute guys my age, on the opposing side I placed a smile on my face and walked over, secretly assessing the situation I spotted him: the weak link and I jumped on him The other two were next, my mission was ensured I didn't hesitate, didn't beat around the bush Asking nicely why he was on that side, he calmly told me And I attacked in an animated debate I was on fire, on a roll So much so that my own mother couldn't find a fault in my style I was so proud Proud of myself for impressing my mom, proud of myself for finally doing something well I could feel it, the guy was shifting uncomfortably He was going to break... Then the strongest one jumped in to aid his friend I've never been in such a strong debate with someone my own age He was so smart, so witty, so talented He countered each of my attacks as well as I did his own I could tell, and he confirmed it, that I was the most exciting and most challenging opponent he's ever had I was thrilled! FINALLY! Decent competition! Our debate raged on, neither one of us willing to back down I could tell he was having just as much fun as I was Finally! An intellegent conversation with someone our own age! We were both thinking it Before either of us realized it, fourty minutes had flown by And we both missed the entire rest of the caucus But it was wonderful! He looked in my eyes when we argued And he looked AT me I felt like I could talk to him for hours and not be bored or ignored! My heart had been jammed in my throat the entire time, and I thought it was adrenaline But even now, it's still there, and I feel as if I could jump out of my skin It never occured to me to ask his name Because it felt as if we'd always known eachother I realized too late, my mistake As he was ushered out of the place by his mother And I was pulled unwillingly into another conversation I wonder if I'll ever see him again... What an experiance! What a rush! I can't believe it... It's like a dream... In 40 minutes I found my soulmate, fell in love, and never caught his name [comments] => 1 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 2 [informant] => desolantdreamer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
