[bodytext] => In the darkest night, there was no moon The creature crept into my room His presence chilled my very soul For I knew that he would take control He watched me closely, he stood by my side I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry! He took my hand and beckoned me To follow him where I would be free I created a scene , I screamed let me go But this creature told me it had to be so With an almighty force he lifted me from my bed I was scared and frightened, and so full of dread We travelled for hours, through darkened streets I wondered what horrors I was about to meet I guessed his appearance had scared me you see But in reality I think, he was very kind to me He talked to me about life, and what memories I had Of good times and bad times, happy and sad We then reached a crossroads, and he said I must choose Which road I should take, I leave it to you One sign said to heaven, one sign said to dwell The other one said Hades and the last one said hell I was utterly confused , what did the creature plan Was I choosing my fate, I did not understand He then looked at me, and I realised My time on earth was up, it was time now to die He was no demon, but my spirit guide He had come to take me to the other side I have no illusions , I have not always been good I could not choose my road, but hoped that he would He looked at me , his eyes shining bright red He said I am the devil, and to hell you will tread So I took his hand, and I chose my way A feeling of dread , was inside me that day Hell is my home now, for all of my sins And in the darkest of night, I was taken in [comments] => 6 [counter] => 339 [topic] => 13 [informant] => jerseysue [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
