As the ink bleeds across the white
Words held captive by the lines
Like a caged artform that redefines
Breeding images so vivid and real
Each word a portrait of what I feel
Entombing the emotions that I cannot say
Like the silent dialogue of an epic play
And just before you reach the end
The passion of each verse begins to ascend
As the page carries my words
Like the moon carries the night
Poetry exposes my soul
Like the sun gives way to light
Sharing my dreams, memories, and fears
A perfect recipe of black ink and tears
Revealing a soul you must read to see
And as you reach the end
You get a little closer to me
A better understanding of what I keep hidden
Each poem like a key to the city I deem forbidden
Where pieces of my soul are scattered along every part
And etched across the sky are the scriptures of my heart
So open my pages, take a walk and a look around
And pay close attention to the words
Cuz thats where I'll be found. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 242 [topic] => 69 [informant] => bleedthelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 29 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => poets )

I enjoyed the read. Any poet/writer can relate to these feelings, these words...I wish at the end you would of spelled out because instead of "cuz" but that's just me...Great write blended with much feeling. Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura
