Could be wasted, could be more

Wake up sick with my Breath full of liquor
Move too fast and I keep getting sicker

Close my eyes and take a deep breath
Knealing over the toilet, this hangover's like death

All alone on the bathroom floor
Misguided thoughts telling me I'm a Whore

My head is a blur and I can't see right
I don't even know who I did last night

Hair's all tossled and makeup's smudged
Drunk as hell and I'm being judged

My bra and panties thrown to the side
Tear stains on my face so I know I've cried

A bottle of beer tipped over on the rug
This lifestyle's an addiction, almost like a drug

Jump in the shower still wearing my shirt
I want to scrub my guilt away as if it were dirt

The World is spinning as if I were high
I can't feel the water, I'm that numb inside

Passed out drunk on the bathroom floor
Could be hammered, probobly more...

Wow; painful poem.. Horrible to admit, but I can relate. I went through a terrible patch over 2007-08. Just reading brought back the nausea. And you're right; the lifestyle is addictive.
You know your reading a good poem when in a short amount of words your emotionally moved.
Great write!
Tim
