stranger to all but a few
met him before, tall, thin and tan
something else else about him, too
Noone special was the thought
yet his presence was surely known
leaving that shop with what he's bought
can't quite place him, he's an unknown
Is that...I think it's...has to be
you're sure it's him, but still
what is it about him you have to see
shouldn't stare even though, you will
Oh no, he's seen you as you gape
quick turn your head, avert your eyes
damn, he's noticed your social rape
and doesn't care less about personal lies
Felt and dealt with it often enough
bearing the stares as they burn
wondering if he's of different stuff
wishes someday they'll all learn
Appearance is only a public shell
not a display of the soul inside
doesn't explain any private hell
won't ever reveal any epoch pride
Everyone needs a friend and a laugh
please desist with the social spite
forget the fear of possible gaffe
receive his greeting in optimistic light
You don't have to talk, a smile will do
when next you hear hello, how are you [comments] => 5 [counter] => 184 [topic] => 25 [informant] => reprobate [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

This was great, and really, it's sad, but it's something quite a few people should hear.

Right on, right on. I can see this scene. I have a tad bit of fire in me and I sometimes just can't resist a little venom off the tongue....I might of used it here.
Peace and hugs,
Me
