Array ( [sid] => 135192 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Never . . . Ben [time] => 2007-06-13 09:43:16 [hometext] => A poem about the pain of something that's alway's apart of love, that realm of our subconcious that reminds us only to well not only of the power and beauty of love, but of it's destruction. [bodytext] => " My daughter once asked me the difference between being alone and being lonely i simply answered, to be alone is just what the generic meaning of the word proclaims, and that is to be by yourself. To be lonely is to be with with some one else and yet still feel like your by yourself . "

Never

is anyone so alone

as much as when there in love,

the heart take's on a life of it's own

when taken advantage

of.

To

soon

we become like clinging vines

to late we become aware,

to often we tell our subceptable minds

about things that aren't realy

there.

Never

is anyone so alone

as one who has not them self,

like a book that is seen but never read

only to hide on a

shelf.

Away from a world

that is evil at best pretending to be alive,

never is anyone so alone as when knowing

love can't

survive.

Never is anyone

so alone as when love is so out of place,

that moment of thruth turning heart to

stone

by the lie on there lover's

face.

Ben

I'm so sorry if this is your present reality & extremely sorry if I've misconstrued an objective observation for something more personal to you, still if it is your pain, it is my pain too...as I've come to care a great deal for you inparticular & both of you as a team.

I have to agree with my fellow poets here by hoping that this is not what is in your heart at this moment. You have written so much joy and happiness for us all in the beauty of love that it would be heart wrenching to think of you in any pain. Still the piece as always is written with much wisdom.

Oh Ben, I cannot tell you how deeply this moved me. Your analogy of alone and lonely is so damn true. I think you know, you are so wise my friend, I feel that damn loneliness. I hope it passes in time, I know time does heal. Time seems to pass so quickly until it comes to times when one does feel lonely....then it is as if time slows to a snails pace. Very poignant write my friend and brother. Thank you for sharing. You are a wise soul when it comes to love.
Much peace,
Laura (your hippie sis)

you have captured betrayal, true loneliness, existing in the realm of oneness, a devastatingly sad place to dwell, one i know well... heres hoping you are fine and both of you are happy, im reading this as an observation of life and love,

There is such aching sadness in this, I hope you are alright and is no more than a deep musing on loneliness. This is such a departure from your normal romantic poems, and I loved this one just as much. You have eloquently struck one of the most devastating truths about love.
Hauntingly beautiful,
Take care,
Dom
