years you have let go by.

Dust off all your worldly

Easy to rest from the distance,

easy to cry, easy to smile,

I like the line:
"Days you harbor
so close to your soul,
years you have let go by."

This poem is short but it says so much. Its very good.

Aw dammit. Here you are saying so much again with a brevity of words. It's like in one stanza, you can write about a lifetime. The first stanza my heart knows all too well. Stanza two, damn, I feel you there. The third stanza almost felt like you felt some hope in all of this.
You summed it all up perfectly at the end. I think you've had an interesting life my friend, with many more "stories to tell". I' m listening.
Thank you for sharing this.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

An easy feel to it, but with an awful lot of depth!
Great combination!

Vincent, my friend, you have an uncanny ability to command
an emotion to spread itself across the page in the form of words.

Wow! There is a sadness, a longing and even a slight hope
in this. The last line, (as several of your last lines do), stirred
many a thought in me. Exceptional writing, my friend.
