I fell out of bed..... onto the floor
got up fast.... banged my head on the door
tripped over the cat.....fell into the sink
slid cross the floor, did the splits 'fore could blink

Washed my face the water was freezing
soaked my sleeves.... just as I was leaving..
Fell down the stairs, and staggered on thru
Poured out my cornflakes like I usually do

Missed the bowl..... as they covered the ground
Treading on each.... with that all crunching sound
The milk covered all of the kitchen work top
Before I could lift it, and eventually stop

Didn't realise the time, and so I was late
tripped out the front door still holdin my plate
jumped into the car and sat on my phone
Hit me right there on that ole funny bone

Started my car, pulled out real fast
Ahh... now im safe .. on way at last
Oh Sheesh whats that.....he suddenly stopped
My car just hit him...... his boot inward popped

When will these accidents finally end
Cos truly theyre drivin me, right round the bend
Tomorrow..... must surely bring pastures a new
And so until then I bid you adieu .... [comments] => 5 [counter] => 303 [topic] => 7 [informant] => malcolmsdreamgirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

malcolmsdreamgirl, when you have a bad day you make sure its the tops of all. I can say I've had bad days but none compare to this as yes in deed there are some days we should just climb back into the bed and want to start all over. I really enjoyed the creative style of this wonderful piece by you. I hope you know that you are an amazing lady and one I look up to as both a fellow poet and a wonderful woman. Thank you for the smile and more importantly for being my friend.

Your Dear Friend

Your way of comically presenting a day gone bad is brilliant! It shows your optimistic side! Keep up the great work!

The poem shows everything in the world is out of joint, out of order, nothing happens as we intend to perform, the poem is deep and serious one though the poetess endeavoured to make it funny and comic. Nice job.

This was funny. I think all of us have those days where nothing seems to go right.. You did a great job in this poem.

Take care
