The tide is right,
Let’s hunt for treasure,
On this fine night!
I grab my frog,
And shove off from land,
On my dinky raft,
The Boga Ratan!
Down the creek,
We float for hours,
Checking the map,
After every sour.
Finally we hit it,
The end of the trail!
Before the highway,
But after the pale.
Me and my frog,
Trek through the woods,
Looking for the X,
Like little boys should.
Adventuring in the wild,
That’s the life!
I squeeze my frog,
And balance in strife.
I had tripped over it,
The marker at last!
I pulled out mom’s garden shovel,
And dug so fast!
The dirt went flying,
My frog turned brown,
But it didn’t much matter,
When I heard that sound.
DING! The box went,
When my shovel hit the top,
I struggled to pull it out,
It was filthier than mops,
But with a few more tugs,
It slipped out like butter,
I fell on my butt,
And began to stutter,
“T-t-t-this is it!”
I looked on it at last,
It seemed a little dirtier,
Than when I had buried it days past,
“No matter” I said,
As I pulled at the latch,
“There’s enough treasure in here”
“To be considered a catch!”
Finally it came lose,
And the box flew open.
A hundred gold doubloons,
Some plastic ones broken.
I shared the chocolate ones,
With my best pal frog.
He didn’t eat much,
And soon they were sog’.
“Our adventure is over,”
“At least the treasure hunting half.”
“Now to find our way home!”
My frog didn’t laugh.

Absolutely wonderful. Great rhyme, great flow, let me know when down the river you go. I'll be the frog.
