The downward wind was chilly

Flowing down from the ice clad peak

I sat at the cabin’s window

Eating a slice of dried steak

The CIA are looking for me

Abdul Muhammad is my name

I am going to destroy America

And here I am for the same

Americans killed my friends

Americans butchered my baby

It was payback time now

And I’m going to succeed maybe

My men had done a dangerous job

Getting the code from president’s bomb shelter

It was time for Uncle Sam to go down

And everything’s going to be helter-skelter

Tears trickled down my eyes

As I typed in the lethal word

A lump swelled in my neck

The password was ‘NUKE SWORD’

I swear I didn’t want to do this

If only there was dissimilar way

I hate to kill the innocent children

With jolly faces as they play

I believe in an eye for an eye

But I was taking the whole body

Was this the right way of revenge?

Would tell me somebody

Something didn’t feel right

About pushing the Doom button

My palms were getting sweaty

And all my confidence was gone

‘ABORT PLAN! ABORT PLAN’

On the two-way radio I yell

My heart beating at light speed

My chest giving a huge swell

‘Insha-Allah’ I cry out

As the radio gives a positive reply

I ran out into the snow

Kneeled down and started to cry

I walked down towards the village

Saw the children play for a while

My child’s spirit appeared in front of me

He looked at me and smiled

Hmm I definitely cringed several times during this piece as well my inner secret service-a la 24-CTU expert wanted to report this poem with hand outstretched and finger pointing squeal. However the end redeems its extremes. Good writing precipitates such reactions.
