I sit at my laptop and hear you sing ....
Such happiness your sweet songs bring
A tiny bird so frail and pretty
Not in the country but this brash city

When I think or see you my heart lifts
When you sing with such beauty my mind drifts
Can this little robin be so happy in life
Does he not experience troubles nor strife?

Hiding from my cats as they prowl their ground
They miss my dear Robin, he waits, makes no sound
Then gently he glides.... onto their food dish
Waits till its safe, then gets his wish

He's eating the cat food, what a strange sight
Eating the remnents cats left over night
Well I never knew Robins did that
I hope he doesn't now decide,.... that he likes CAT!!!!! .......................... Robins are risk takers...but wouldn't something if Robins started to swoop and pounce on cats because they found them tasty. I would think thats one of the signs of the end-time.
This piece started in homage and ended up fun.

Thank You for posting, keep the pen flowing.

Peace
