Array ( [sid] => 130618 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => River [time] => 2007-01-16 20:29:00 [hometext] => [bodytext] => A relationship is like a river bed,
Through the rip roaring water we tread,
Each moment defined along the way,
Pushing forward, just to be thrown back, night and day

Each stone left unturned,
Another lesson less learned,
Another memory put to waste,
Another dream displaced.

Each thought collected,
Only to be rejected
Wind chapped tears,
Gathered from humanistic fears.

Each memory so vivid and bright,
A relationship, a true fight,
Memories of you and me, of us,
Kept forever and further thus

Each pebble so small it seems,
Wading through the water gleams,
So intense, so intent,
Much effort and time spent.

No matter what we can not stray,
Pebbles and rocks we collect and say,
I love you dear, follow your heart,
Together we will stay, never apart,

For each pebble, rock or stone collected,
Another day together expected,
A lifetime of memories held in a pail,
Stones tell a long and wonderful tale.

A wonderful experience until the pail;
It becomes unbelievably frail,
Too many memories, it's impossible for it to hold,
The days wither away, and their love grows old,

Once our pail is full, there is nothing left to do,
Then go our separate ways, walk on through,
The river can no longer hold you back,
Just keep yourself on track,

We both grew; together we could do anything,
But apart we can do so much more,
No more shall we be on the back and forth love swing,
In each others hearts forever, on that rivers shore

This poems sinews and muscle, shifts and turns is very much like a relationship from my youth. Quiety I lift my mind say her name and bid her good tidings.

Well Done
