Array ( [sid] => 130275 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Faithfulness [time] => 2007-01-08 18:22:51 [hometext] => A poem about God's faithfulness, that he is there no matter where we are. [bodytext] => The storm is coming,
Gradually,
The wind increases,
The waves become fear.
The storm,
Leaves no shelter,
For the girl.
Lost,
Abandoned,
Hopelessness,
Despair,
Fear.
The Storm,
Comes suddenly,
Without warning,
Hungry,
Vicious,
Relentless,
Caring for no-one,
Destroying all in it's path.
The girl,
Alone,
Scared,
Without hope.
The storm is upon her,
The sea,
Once a picture of peace,
Calmness,
Tranquillity,
Has become,
Roaring,
Tormenting,
Unstoppable.
The waves,
Crashing and crashing,
Upon the shore.
The girl,
Once full of hope,
A picture of faith,
Is broken,
Destroyed,
Nowhere to turn.
Then,
Out of the darkness,
He comes.
Faithfulness is walking along the sand,
He is approaching the girl.
He knows,
He has seen her tears.
Oh how he longs to show her,
He is faithful,
And he cares,
Oh how he longs to tell her,
"Trust in me,
Do not be afraid."

A picture,
Of His faithfulness,
That no matter what storms we face,
He knows,
He understands,
He cares.
When we are consumed,
With the storms of life,
How he longs to show us,
He is faithful,
Trust in Him,
Do not be afraid.

The one,
Walking along the sand,
Approaches the girl.
Faithfulness approaches,
He takes her hand,
And together they continue,
Walking along the sand,
Through the storm.
And yet,
She no longer seems to notice,
For she is not alone,
She is never alone,
But has faithfulness,
By her side. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 581 [topic] => 11 [informant] => stephiesan [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )

What a wonderful picture of the God we serve. This is personal and you know of Whom you speak. Keep Writing!

God Bless,
