Here's to the line
Of many great men
Who are doing their time
They march for their country
And die for their men
They run for their lives then
They go out again

Here's to the brave and
Here's to the free
They'll be laying no gifts
Under the Christmas tree
They're bound overseas
Amongst all the toil
The grit and the dirt
And the damp graveyard soil

Here's to the medic
That save a Dad's life
So he could go home
And see his son and his wife
Only to wave them goodbye
The very next day
Because poor Sergeant Daddy
Was being shipped away

So here is a toast
To the men who we owe
For most of are lives
So we continue to grow
Here's to the soldiers
Who know where they stand
Away from their families
In that far off land [comments] => 6 [counter] => 276 [topic] => 57 [informant] => Wilder [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => war )

This is a nice poem that the author ought to put on a postcard on Let's say thanks, a site
devoted to telling all the service personnel thank you.

What a very wonderful tribute. I think that if this was sent to all our fighting soldiers that it would definitely brighten their day.
