Array ( [sid] => 129132 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Alone [time] => 2006-12-07 09:31:04 [hometext] => Here is the poem i thought i would name it Alone. but i am not sure what to name it. [bodytext] => alone i stand in this world, my origins unknown.
i have no friends, no family, no hands to hold.
i live my life on my own, to laugh alone to cry alone.
i have no one to praise me, or to scold.

alone I stand in this world, free to choose.
I have dreams and goals, that are my own.
I have no one to scold me, when i lose.
I can win or lose, still i stand alone.

alone I stood on that day, in the rain.
I saw you coming toward me, on the road.
you spoke to me, i shared my pain.
we understood each other, our stories were told.

together we stood, on that day at the wedding.
we lived together, in our humble abode.
we lived for one another, without reprimanding.
we lived together, until we grew old.

alone again, i stood and cried.
alone i stood on that day, six feet above where you lay.
alone again, i wish i had died.
i hope to be with you again, some day, some day!

Note- There are many things indicated in the poem that are not expressed in words. For example the number of paragraphs with alone is more indicating that when you are alone the time drags on. And another example is the i and the I. "i" depicts a small and un-confident vulnerable self. while the I depicts a mature and confident self not so easily vulnerable. Alone?
