Annie's born
Once upon a sunny morn'
Take a breath
Mother cries
Spread your wings and Annie flies

Ride the breeze
Blessed child
As the wind be free and wild
Search the heights
'Til you find
That which gives you peace of mind

Time to live
Annie learns
Love's a fire that sometimes burns
Take a breath
Dry your eyes
Spread your wings and Annie flies

Ride the breeze
Blessed child
As the wind be free and wild
Search the hearts
'Til you find
That which gives you peace of mind

Time to live
Annie ages
Life slipped by like turning pages
Take a breath
Stem the sighs
Spread your wings and Annie flies

Ride the breeze
Blessed child
As the wind be free and wild
Search your soul
'Til you find
That which gives you peace of mind

Time to go
Annie leaves
I for one refuse to grieve
Take a breath
No one dies
Spread your wings and Annie flies

Ride the breeze
Blessed child
As the wind be free and wild
Search the stars
'Til you find
That which gives you peace of mind

I, too, agree... this is wonderful! The rhythm of this is infectious and somewhere in the middle of that fabulous flow, this hits its reader square in the chest. I don't know how you manage it, Larry... but this is light and heavy all at the same time and my, yes!... it's stunning.

Larry, a tremendous dedication to a life lived. Each stanza is a power in itself , unfolding into the next, and the refrain is effective and infectious. You're firing on all cylinders.

Larry the poem is awesome, such a talent you have. I don't know how you always seem to come up with such creative titles and subsequently creative writes. The way you deal with life here....time to be born, time to live and a time to die. It also feels spiritual to me.

Well done sir...well done indeed!

How fast the time goes and this poem tells it so lyrically. It's nice to have some quiet time to read your poetry, I rarely have the chance to get online these days. You have a great gift for writing poetry and I'm so glad you share it with all of us at YPDC. You have many many fans here.

Incredible flow!
This piece just moves along on its own. You have me curious about "Annie" and the wonderful life you portray here.
