Are made and cast way up high
You take my hand, we share a dance
Waltzing through a midsummer’s night
We share a kiss, passion burns within
While dancing under the moon’s light
When morn slowly dawns at break
My envisions of you fade away
I awake from my deepest dreams
To face yet another lonely day…

heart ache and pain
with tender thoughts
Of better times pasted
Emotions going up then down
Your writing captivates me always
has read more then once
it inspires me to write more

really nice write..you show your emotions well. If you want to grow more as a poet, and we all do; try rakerman's poetry..he writes a bit of everything but his love poems are a great learning tool. He hasn't posted in awhile..but you can look up his username..it's under the R's..in #2 I think....
Just a suggestion...he inspires me greatly. |

I don't really think you need the word slowly..but that's just me..when I read it, it reads smoother without that xtra word..then again, it does show that the night is not passing quickly..nice write anyhow. |

I read your passion and your awe for living and I suspect you reveal only after you have worked it out:
"As the night slowly progresses
You come to me inside my head"
this piece I felt had the deep expression of loneliness but it is not anguished rather very self aware as in the last line:
"...To face yet another day..."
We climb the mountain because its there and as a poet you relate both the climber and spelunker as you explore your emotional caverns and terrrain, goddess blossoming.

The emotions in this are brimming around the words, but are never overdone, and it breaks the heart to read of such shattered hopes and sadness. The image that I found most evocative of the loneliness was that of you lying alone and small on the bed that should be for two.
Heartbreak comes and it feels as if nothing can be right again, but healing always follows shortly after.
