And I know I was every cliché
Of a guy who mistreated a girl with too much to lose
But with every bruise, I promise you that it hurt me too

Your perfection changed me
And I know sometimes I acted a little crazy
But, Lauryn, you know I was in love with you
And I agree, this apology is long overdue

I cannot express in writing how much I regret this
To you, the girl who could make me melt with one kiss
If I could go back I’d make sure you were treated right
I’d make sure I could give you one last kiss tonight

And I’ll always remember that night at Howard’s
Where I held you in my arms for nearly an hour
You looked so beautiful, as you always do
And I felt so lucky to finally be next to you [comments] => 3 [counter] => 212 [topic] => 24 [informant] => JoeDuvivier [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

Maybe you should show this to her. A sincere apology is a rare gem these days.
Nicely written.
