dreams long gone though never die
scars are deep and blood pours red
all and nothing within my head

Memories now are long forgot
faces blur and flesh will rot
songs play over, words mean some
souless, breathless, sightless come

Hearts ripped out and organs crushed
emotions turn as faces flush
pictures circle gruesome sights
darkness covers evils flight

Open eyes are brown and clear
no movement save for one red tear
what once was all inside one's head
sits still as death beside my bed.

It is a very good poem. It reminded me of some of the first poems I had ever written and it opened inside me a sense of nostalgia for forgotten times and a sense of something else more accustomed to... "Enjoyment?"
Anyway, it's a very good piece of poetry. The rhythm guided the stanzas nicely together and the imagery, as a whole, seemed effortless. It’s very good.

I agree with Harimitsu's comment.

I like this. The flow is perfect, the words just work together really well.

It does seem very nightmarish, too. Rushed and surreal.

Good write,
Phil xxx
