Would you care to come - Do you want to grow,
God's wisdom to plumb, His purpose to know:
To contend for the truth, the spirits to try,
To find out the proof of Satan's great lie?

In the garden he trod; lying angel, deceiver,
Saying: "Ye shall be gods, knowing good and evil.
Natural man's (carnel) mind receiveth not from God.
Be ye of another kind, with holy curiosity shod.

Turn from false tradition to new realms unknown,
Where with humble contrition, the good seed is sown.
Don't trust what you've heard, lest Jehovah consent:
This he does with his Word, with resurrection intent.

There we find the truth - look close, study keen:
The "Lord's prayer" from his youth is -John Ch. 17
He told "Diciples" to pray: "Our Father who art in Heaven":
That prayer is our prayer, found in Luke Ch. 11

The "signs" of Revelation can bestow remarkable insight;
In it's truest interpretation, the Praterists are right.
The time was "at hand", "shortly" to come to fruition:
Nero (beast) to plan, Titus (abomination) to commission.

Abraham's promised seed? - Oh, it's singular alright.
It is the Christ indeed - Galations 3 sheds the light.
All nations were blest by the "salt of the earth".
From east to the west, Christ gave his Church birth.

No scripture contridicts, as some men infer;
Tradition's false edicts demand all men concur.
Tradition can be a help, if it squares with scripture well;
If not, and in it you hide, it can open a path to hell.

God's Word is the final measure of truth for doctrine's guide
Christ (the Word) at his pleasure, can mature the "babe" inside.
So, pray for a start to unlock the mysteries found therein:
Tradition can bind the heart, God's word can loose it again.

It's so good to hear the master scripture poet sing.
The lines that inspire me particularly are:

"Turn from false tradition to new realms unknown"

So many would not dare to go forward, but are stuck in a net of traditions and refuse to go forward and exploit the present moment where He is. with us alive.
Thank you Lionel for the poignant and courageous ringing of the bell of our faith in these so very troubled times.
Blessings
Elizabeth

I am reminded of Jonathan Edwards when I read your poems...they are almost like sermons: powerful, interesting, and meaningful...nicely done.
