Can you hear it?
The breaking of my heart?
Put your head here,
and listen quietly.
A glass heart,
so fragile, laid in the hands
of hopes and dreams.
Each tiny crack you hear,
is excruciating pain.
The pressure of my next breath
makes my heart stop...
one,
two,
three beats.
Here we go again.

Shhh..did you hear it?
Did you hear the drop of blood
fall on that single shard,
of my breaking heart?
No...No...please don't try to mend it.
Fragile as it is,
so weak it has become.
One more touch to my breaking heart
will shatter it all at once.

Shhhh hear it...stop
one
two
three...
catch my breath,
and take in all my hopes and dreams,
my heart break'.
one crack at a time.
It's all a matter of what should have been.

Shhh, be silent.
Hear my breaking heart.
It won't be long now.
Let me live this last
bit in silence,
listening to the cracks of my heart in silence.
Be my friend in silence.
Catch the shattered pieces,
before they fall to the floor,
and make it known to everyone,
that my heart had too much to say.

A true reflection of a damaged, if not completely broken heart. Think we've all been there at one time or another. hell, I know I have! Another cracking write. Is your name Irish? x
