Open them as wide as possible
Taking in the surroundings
All 360 degrees of it
Odd, it’s true
Seems we’re trapped in a snow globe
Only the sky holds us in
An endless sky
In an endless circle
So where do we go
When the sky caves in on us
Beginning to snow that fake-ass cheer
Turning our musical key to make us dance
A dance that ended its glory a few years ago
Shaking the world making it downpour ecstatic
While we fake our smile
To all who glance our way
And others eyes are opened
To the snow globe that holds them

Wow, you turned a smile into a confining entity. You're so cruel... Lol (smiling, in puppet like fashion,I think)
Nice contrast, and well written.
Good stuff Trini.

.perhaps we all need to turn our own key;
only then, I've often thought, can we find true, the life and happiness we so deserve.

..provocative and well written Trini~

You weave an intriguing tale, trini.
Extremely thought provoking this is.

"only the sky holds us in"

awesome line .. but there are a brave few, who have
ventured beyond that great barrier ... if only, to
show us that we can.

Great post!
