He won't listen, he hates me

When I was eleven
I found out I would never go to heaven
I found out God will never love me
all because I'm a lesbian

I found out something about myself
I found out I was gay
I almost died wishing I was someone else
I never wanted to be this way
Should I fake the butterflies
and pretend that I like guys?
Should I be a heart breaker?
Should I be a smile faker?

Like a child not wanting to play with a doll
a doll with a missing leg or arm
God rejects the people with ***** up hearts
I'm sorry I can't be like a shining star
You put me on this earth
please take me off of it
or help me understand my worth
cause I feel like a piece of *****

So I'll ignore the way I feel
block out the truth and what is real
Forget the meaning of my tears
I've been doing this for years

No it's not a sin, be true to yourself and don't beat yourself up about it ... this is a fine poem, pouring out your feelings is a great way to release some of that pain ... great write ... Jan

i don't believe in religion, as an agnostic, i believe in something greater than myself, and that there is more to existence than merely life, but i think that religion is a man made institution, created in order to control. homosexuality is not a sin, as there is no such thing, it's not evil to love someone, and so long as in loving someone you're not hurting anyone else, than that's fine, a prime example of homosexuals being persecuted is oscar wilde, they wanted an excuse to lock him away, and found one. keep on writing, and keep on loving,

Religion, to me, is clearly a man made doctrine. Created by powerful speakers, with great creativity, and dumped on the naive and needfull. People want something to believe other than nature. What "Father" would ever put his children through the hell some go through here on Earth? Would a "loving God" truly do that? I don't think so.... There is no "heaven" so to speak, I believe there is only an essence and energy that everything has always been, and always will be, apart of. Certainly including you! You cannot change a natural attraction, no more than you can decide that sand tastes good.
Well writen, and to the point!

its not a sin to love someone. in my mind it really dosnt matter if you like guys or girls. and god loves everyone, im not a religious freak but i do believe that there is some kind of god because of things that have happend in my life, so far.
but dont hid the real you, some people are just... well they dont understand i guess, they want everyone to be like them. they want girls to like guys and guys to like girls. and they treat the people who are not like that different, just how a long time ago the whites did to the blacks.
me, im not sure weather i like girls or guys... but i am also pretending i dont like girls but i think i sorta do...
its not a sin to love someone, it dosnt matter who you love. and god loves you, and everyone else.
your no different from anyone else, everyone loves someone. it dosnt matter if its a guy or a girl.

Iv stated this before. I grew up in a small close nit very religion based place. As I grew up and moved into the real world and big picture my thoughts have changed on many things. I do believe in God, Jesus, the devil but dont believe in organized religion anylonger. The God I know is one of love. We are all placed on this earth with free agency. In the end God hold the key to our final judgement. God is love Jesus is love. I cant believe he would punish anyone for love they have in their hearts. I do read the scriptures at times, I also believe that sometimes people take from them what they will and run with in. Just my feelings. Im not here to judge you, for that is not my place. Wipe your tears and live your life out happy, that is what life is supposed to be is happy. Make it happen!

Wow Gayla... Look what yo all, or believe it all.u started! You bad girl you.. Tsk, tsk.
I love people who say they believe in Christ, or the God of the Bible, but don't read it all, or behave according to it all, or think God meant us to behave in all the ways the Bible tells us to..... Hmmm?
How many different interpertations have come out of that one book? And how many lives have been lost as a result? You Go Gayla, and lucky is the women who gains your love. You are insightful, and deep.... And I truly mean that
