I thought God was only in church, Until one day.
I thought that I suppose to live my life,
Be a mother and someones wife.

I thought that I would read the Bible,
But then I layed it down,
To much was going on,
To much to do in town.

I thought that I would say grace,
Thank Him for our food,
Get up and not pray again,
Never to often or to soon.

But then I got to know God,
In a different way,
I failed on my knees in prayer,
He heard what I had to say.

I had to get my mind off my problems,
Off the things that were around,
In order to see His beauty,
To hear His sweet sound.

He told me that He loved me,
He told me that He would be with me till the end,
He will never ever leave me,
He called me His friend.

If you seek my kingdom first He said,
All things will come unto u,
So I see things come,
So I know His word is true.

Answered Prayers came softly,
Slowly through my window pane,
He came right on in,
Took me out of the rain.

Lifted me up from the bottom,
Placed me on my feet,
Told me to always ask Him in my life,
He will make it complete.

Answered Prayers are answered,
It is either a yes or a no,
But they are answered slowly, some times fast,
I just want you to know.

That He hears every prayer,
Even whispered in your mind,
He will always answer,
Sometimes it just takes time.

Wow that is awesome and well written. It is really grand when people really figure out that they are his church; body, soul, and mind. May you have many blessings. Take care.

I know what you mean. I have strayed away from what I know God want me to do. I know what you mean by things of this world getting in our way and turning us from God. I am finally working on getting myself back on track with God's help of course. This was beautifully written and very very true. Keep up the great work.

God bless-
Rich
