Array ( [sid] => 12447 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => who am i [time] => 2003-02-11 21:00:00 [hometext] => this is just a poem i wrote a while back that i thought reflected how i felt.. people used to tease me for bieng different and i wouldnt retaliate so i just wrote what i felt and how i h8ed them! [bodytext] => who am i to judge them all,
who am i to curse and fall
little things they said and did,
made me hurt and cry and think
they put me down they kicked me hard,
but never once did i kick did i flail or did i dart,
these years of hurt these years of pain
how i wish they could all be gone with the rain
i wish i was strong and i wish i was clever,
but they made me feel bad so thought that i never
i felt so inferior so useless and mild,
the way they treated me left me looking like a child,
in my head i plan and i scheme,
all the words below and the ones in-between
but now im strong and im ready to fight,
the pain they caused will only aid my sight
i will make them pay for eveything they said
and ill make sure they know that they messed up my head
but now its all better and im dying to put right
all that they did, not to me but in a fight
a fight against the different,
a fight against what they dont know
but what they dont know is this girl aint for show
so ill put up with thier calling and ill quietly laugh and think
thier faces ill one day laugh in and then it can be thier turn to feel sick! always hurts to be ridiculed...i always thought, if someone has nothing better to do than talk about other people, they must be boring, no creativity....good write, by the way

very nice write, i enjoyed this. I know a lot of ppl who are "different" and i myself am different, but i think i am in different ways. I can be just as materialistic or "trendy"as the next person, or as goth, skate, grunge, or whatever they arent as i want to be. To tell ya the truth, i enjoy being different. Everyone just tends to blend into one another, but the few and far between brighter-shade-of-yellow duckies are the ones that get noticed and are remembered.
again, i loved this piece, very nice.

Ahhh, but you ARE different ... you have the ability to write beautifully! Being "different" isn't always such a bad thing ;) Looking foreward to reading more of yours.

go girl, its difficult being different when you are young, you dont have the same clarity of direction or guidance as those who walk the well worn ways, nice poem

Dear midian, This writing is wonderfully therapeutic stuff, isn't it? I thought you really expressed those feelings powerfully.
