That you can need someone; but suddenly outgrow them,
That the one that you desire; isn’t the one you always get,
That in order to swim the ocean; you must first escape the net.

That you can dream of something; and never get it,
That you can do something; and never forget it,
That you can give your heart; only to have it broken,
That you can think a thousand thoughts; yet none of them be spoken.

That you can meet another; and have them walk right by,
That when you feel pain; the best thing to do is cry,
That you can own the earth; and still be a pauper,
That we are all of us someone’s son; or someone’s daughter.

That night will always become day; and the day give into night,
That just because something’s wrong; it doesn’t mean it isn’t right,
That every soul shall be healed; in time,
That healing is helped; by simple rhyme. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Ruby2sdy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Deep, meaningful, beautiful and poetic. A life lesson for me now, as well.

Magnificent expressed insights of unmistakable truths. Life has taught you well! And life has given you an unmistakable gifts of, not only simple rhyme, but powerful poetic expression. And this one is powerful.

That thing called destiny that makes things end,
That love we lost can turn around again my friend,
I never say never it helps me to cope,
Things sometimes change, we then have hope.

Great read , I enjoyed it very much . well done a marvellous read. Sue x
