press against my ears

The crushing pain
of their words
makes me grind my teeth

They say
I must
BELIEVE
But I can't
I just can't
Mentally impossible for me right now

He turned his back on when I needed him most

People say to believe
and people also say to not

I'm so confused

At the edge of dieing
he saved me
But when I needed him the most
He abandoned me
so it seemed

Maybe he didn't
Maybe I was too wraped up in
all my emotions
and pain
I pushed him away

I hope
one day
I can figure this all out

maybe that one day is
today

People say to belive
and people say to not

It's really easy to be confused and it's not up to others to tell you to believe or not.
Just be patient with yourself.
Someday you'll understand.
Hang tuff, you'll get there.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy

I tend to agree with Emy on this.

You have choices .

I have also been confused and angry at times

I often have to be still

The answers do come in time.

Positive thoughts and prayers for you.

Doug :-)

It was still a poem written with a good idea. The confusion addressed here leads to answers, of course, and there's a method to all the madness, I'm sure. Regardless, I liked this poem.

Dear "atheist",
There's much confusion in religion today - ( probably always has been). Today they proclaim a God that: "tries to save men, but they want LET him", wishes and hopes they will let Him have His way, etc. This loose and ignorant description of God can hinder a man's belief. That is not the God of Holy Scripture - He does His will in the armies of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him- What doest thou? Dan. 4:35 Also, Read the real " Lord's prayer: John Ch. 17. Matt. 6:9 is the diciples prayer ( they got that wrong too.) God bless you.
Lionel
