just like it does every morning.
The trees will leave once more,
just like they do every spring.
The water will continue to run,
just like it always has.
The day may seem over now,
but tomorrow it all begins anew.
Yesterday she cried and tears fell from her eyes,
she flooded the streets with them,
and the oceans overflowed.
Yesterday she was mad, and fire was in her eyes,
she burned up what was left in her way.
Yesterday the wind blew, her hair flowed gently in it,
and her tears were dried in it's path.
Yesterday, I broke her heart and hurt her once again.
The sun set yesterday, and I felt the pain,
I heard her cries, and felt her anger.
The water boiled with rage and came down upon me.
But that was yesterday, and today is anew.
Because the sun shall rise again.
A new dawn breaks as the sun begins to rise...
