[hometext] => Realities of war, something to think about today.
[bodytext] => The troops took their positions,as do chess men upon a board.
For once again the time had come for men to die by the sword. The fallen tho not forgotten, their time comes to an end. For shattered hearts left at home, too these do medals mend? In the brush a soldier lies for a bullet passed his way. Slowly a tear runs down his cheek for he knows it's his last day. Elsewhere an eighteen year old boy who's been taught well to kill. Has found in the heat of battle,it's not his chosen will. Deep in the theatre you'll find a chopper carrying wounded off. A soldier ponders how life will be, without the legs he's lost. Bombing runs went well today, innocent victim count was low. Another price of political war, innocent who'll never grow. People in the village below,no longer have a place to live. Their homes destroyed by mortar fire, that came from over the ridge. Chess is a game meant to be played in fun with little soldier toys. Not upon a battlefield, with men or with young boys. . . .
