The future was … once
Horrifically beautiful and
Beautifully terrifying
All at one and the same time
{ And this is that }

A dream between the seams
Of awakening and
Awareness, subconsciously
Substantial, in all but form
{ And this is that }

A desire whose fire
Burns most brightly at night
And yet is not diminished
By the fight for light of day
{ And this is that }

A somewhere, someday
Some kind of wonderful something
That somehow leaves you somewhat
Achingly longing for someone soon
{ And this …yes this, is that }

Oh the future was … once
And I believe, shall be again
The driving force of all men, the very
Reason and purpose of their existence

{ And most definitely }

.
.
.

{This ... Is ... that}

I really enjoyed this piece.
The structure is some what unconventinal and experimental...i think this is important, it further reinforces the mix of ideas and notions which somehow intertwine like a web...
Yes...some rather well expressed concepts.
I can relate to such themes...
The extent of each extremetiy and its individual appreciation (shown here in contrast: "Horrifically beautiful").

The second stanza....is stunning!
I have no words to compensate for...

And this:
"That somehow leaves you somewhat
Achingly longing for someone soon"
How i can relate...much more than i care to admit. That lengthy longing...for something unknown...

This is a clever, elegant and somewhat abstract piece...
Thank you for sharing your talents with us...

Snazzy ... WOW! I so love this. It is manificent in all it's
imagery and divination .. at least, for me

There are times when a piece speaks solely to your heart ..
that takes your face gently in it's hands and places a soft
kiss upon your forehead. And this ... this is definitely that!

*adores this entirely*

Dear friend Naz,
I just heard from Stitch and she asks for us to send prayers in behalf. Whatever has happened to you Naz, I hope you will go reread this poem of yours......I got it just fine. For this is life! No matter what happens to us good or bad.
It's just that: "This is That" and we must learn to accept what "This is that" may be. Face it and never let it get us down. Raise our heads erect, and simply state> "This is That!" If I can't change it then I must accept!
Loved your poem Naz.........I got it just fine!
Warm love and hugs
Get well fast
Warm love

Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you
be my poem,
I whisper with my lips close to your ear,
I have loved many women and men, but I love none better
than you.

thats it....how your poem is
