I think about our short past,

Envious best friends was not my intention,
It shouldn't be this way
Things I'm not allowed to mention,
Things I'm not allowed to say
I look at this mess,
It's not what I intended
I'm still second best,
And all those feelings were pretended
Don't feel bad if she doesn't feel the same way,
You will make it through
Know that at the end of the day,
The way you see her is the way I see you
I'll take what we had and savour it,
Your broken heart I'll try to mend
When it comes to mistakes, you're my favorite,
And I would do it all again

No need for hiding,
You look at me and see right through
You're the one I want beside me,

very interesting write.. yet so sad.. you can feel the sadness in this write.. it is hurtful to lose someone you love and its good you don't regret that.. thanks for sharing.. good write
